While we’ve continued to make progress this year and throughout the summer, Pierre Poilievre and the Conservative Party have been spreading a lot of bologna about the work our Liberal team is doing to build a better Canada.

Our Liberal team is taking bold steps to put more money into Canadians’ pockets. We’re reducing child care fees by 50% and moving forward with $10-a-day child care, sending families a tax-free monthly Canada Child Benefit, providing dental coverage for 9 million uninsured Canadians with an annual household income of less than $90,000, and so much more.

While Pierre Poilievre and the Conservative Party stood against our plan to deliver affordable child care and dental care, Justin Trudeau and our Liberal team remain focused on making life more affordable and building an economy that works for all Canadians.

“Liberals are too woke!”

Justin Trudeau and our Liberal team are committed to representing a diverse and inclusive Canada, where anyone and everyone can be themselves. We’re staying committed to standing up for LGBTQ2 rights, women’s rights, reproductive rights, advancing reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples, advancing the rights and accessibility of Canadians with disabilities, and so much more.

Unlike Pierre Poilievre, who has shown that hate and discrimination are welcome in his Conservative Party. Whether it’s taking a picture with someone in a ‘straight pride’ shirt, attaching misogynistic tags to his YouTube videos, calling hard working Canadians’ homes “shacks,” speaking to a group that said it was a “myth” that residential schools robbed Indigenous children of their childhood, or voting against crucial policies like the Canada Child Benefit that has raised 435,000 children out of poverty – Pierre Poilievre is pushing the same divisive tactics that we’ve seen from American far-right politicians.

We think it’s time Pierre Poilievre wakes up.

Canadians place a lot of trust in our universal public health care system and Justin Trudeau and our Liberal team are committed to delivering a better public health care system that works for all Canadians. This year, our Liberal government moved forward by banning harmful single-use plastics, like plastic bags, straws, takeout containers, and more. Now for the trash talk: we’re taking these steps to keep our shorelines clean and help eliminate the equivalent of a million garbage bags worth of plastic litter – but Pierre Poilievre has no plan to protect our environment.

“The Liberal carbon tax is making everything so expensive!”

Despite what Pierre Poilievre and the Conservative Party want you to think, our price on pollution actually puts more money back into the pockets of Canadians.

This year, Canadians living in provinces where our price on pollution applies, will receive hundreds of dollars through our price on pollution rebates.

While Pierre Poilievre and the Conservative Party want to make pollution free again and have no real plan to fight climate change, our Liberal team is making life more affordable while moving forward with bold climate action.

We’re doubling the rate of housing construction over the next 10 years, helping young people afford a home by doubling the First Time Home Buyers’ Tax Credit, created a new Tax-Free First Home Savings Account, making sure house flippers pay their fair share, cracking down on foreign ownership and speculation, and so much more. If you’re a student, we’re increasing Canada Student Grants by 40% – providing up to $4,200 for full-time students.
