Why was a “benefit received” deducted from my Laurier Club contribution?
The reason that there is a deduction due to the “benefit received” of being a member of the Laurier Club. In accordance with Elections Canada regulations, benefits available to all Laurier Club donors must be deducted from the annual receipt.

When will I receive my tax receipt?
Our finance team produces each receipt for national donations individually, and you can be assured we are working as quickly as we can to get your receipt to you. We strive to provide national donation tax receipts for one-time-gifts within four weeks of receiving the donation. Tax receipts for Laurier Club and Victory Fund donations are issued in February of each year to ensure we’ve captured all donations and benefits appropriately to comply with Elections Canada and Revenue Canada rules.
