The verification period begins on February 20, 2025, and will close March 7, 2025 at 5 PM ET. You will have received instructions by email to get started.

2. Verify your identity

Verifying your identity and address in just 2 minutes with the Canada Post Identity+ mobile app, or with Canada Post Identity+ in-person at a participating Canada Post Office.

How do I verify my identity?

You’ll need to complete the secure.liberal.ca/verify form before you can verify with Canada Post. There, you’ll select your preferred method – Canada Post Identity+ mobile app or in-person – and follow the instructions provided. At the same time, we’ll also send Canada Post a notice so that your information is sent back to the Liberal Party. You will get a confirmation email acknowledging your verification succeeded or failed.

Find it here on Apple and Android devices.
In the Identity+ application, enter the same email you used to register as a Liberal.

3. Cast your ballot at vote.liberal.ca

The voting period will begin on February 26 at 8 AM ET, and will close on March 9 at 3 PM ET.

How will I get my ballot?

Once you verify your identity, and when the voting period opens, you’ll receive voting instructions by email to cast your ballot electronically at vote.liberal.ca.

Acceptable Identification Documents

All proof of identity and address documents must be valid, and in their original format.

Verification with Canada Post Identity+ mobile application

Accepted PRIMARY ID as proof of identity and address:

  • Provincial or territorial driver’s licence
  • Provincial or territorial photo ID with an address displayed

Accepted SECONDARY ID if you need to prove your Canadian citizenship, permanent resident status in Canada, or status under the Indian Act:

  • Canadian Passport
  • Certificate of Indian Status Card
  • Canadian Permanent Resident Card

Verification with Canada Post Identity+ in-person

Accepted PRIMARY ID as proof of identity:
