Important: Please read these Official Rules before entering this Promotion (the “Promotion”). By participating in the Promotion, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules (the “Rules”) and represent that you satisfy all of the eligibility requirements below.

NO PURCHASE, PAYMENT, OR FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTION OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS PROMOTION.

  1. Eligibility: This Promotion is open to all Liberal Party of Canada National Convention attendees (being held in Ottawa May 4-6, 2023) who are Canadian citizens and permanent residents living in Canada who have reached the age of majority in their province/territory. Officers and employees of The Federal Liberal Agency of Canada as chief agent for the Liberal Party of Canada (“LPC”), including its provincial and territorial boards; and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter this Promotion. This Promotion is void where prohibited.
  2. How to Enter: To be eligible to win the prize, entries must be completed and received by the Promotion Organizer in the format designated below. There is no purchase, payment or contribution necessary to enter or win the Promotion. All entry information, including the identity of the participant, is subject to verification by the LPC. By entering the Promotion, the participant agrees to receive email communications from the LPC in relation to outreach, fundraising, and voter mobilization in accordance with the LPC Privacy Policy. To enter the Promotion, you must complete at least 4 training booth activities in the Team Trudeau Training Hub at the 2023 National Convention before the Promotion Closing Date.
  3. Odds of Winning: Odds of winning are dependent on the total number of entries received during the Promotion Period.
  4. Promotion Period: The Promotion opens at 12:00 PM Eastern Time, Thursday, May 4, 2023, and closes at 3:59 PM Eastern Time, Saturday, May 6, 2023.
  5. Prize(s) to be Awarded: There will be nineteen (19) prizes awarded comprising:
    • one (1) prize each an iPhone 13 128GB
    • two (2) prizes each an Apple Watch SE
    • four (4) prizes each a Samsung Galaxy Tablet A 7″ Lite,
    • four (4) prizes each a Kindle,
    • three (3) prizes each an Energizer 20000 mAh USB-A/USB-C Power Bank – Black
    • one (3) prize of an Phenomenal Women Conversation Game
    • one (2) prize of Vote Silver Stud Earrings

    Approximate retail value of each prize is between $60 and $1,200. Winner(s) will not receive the difference between the actual and approximate retail value of the Prize. In the unlikely eventuality that the designated prize should become unavailable, the Promotion Organizer reserves the right to substitute a prize of the same approximate value.
    The Finalists will each select 1 prize, where the first person selected will get the 1st pick, 2nd person selected will get the 2nd choice, going in order until ten people are selected.

  6. Draw and Winner Selection: At 4:15 PM, Eastern Time on Saturday, May 6th, 2023 in Ottawa, Ontario, nineteen (19) eligible Entrants will be selected as Potential Winner(s) by random draw by an employee of the LPC from all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period. The LPC reserves the right to cancel the Promotion if there are no eligible Winners by 3:59 PM, Eastern Time on Saturday, May 6th, 2023.
  7. Confirmation of Potential Winner/ Taxes: The Potential Winner(s) will be notified within (5) business days of the selection via email or telephone. The Prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate Winner if: (a) two (2) attempts to contact the Potential Winner by phone and/or e-mail within 24 hours are not successful; (b) the Winner release materials (see Sections 9 and 10 below) are not returned as required from the Potential Winner; or (c) the Prize is otherwise not claimed. ANY FEDERAL, PROVINCIAL AND LOCAL TAXES ASSOCIATED WITH THE RECEIPT OR USE OF ANY PRIZE ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNER.
  8. Conditions: To be declared the Winner(s) and claim the Prize, the Potential Winner(s) must complete a time-limited mathematical skill testing problem involving an order of operations type of question. If a Potential Winner is unable to answer the skill testing question, he/she will be unable to claim the Prize and a new Potential Winner will be selected by way of a draw.
  9. Declaration of Release: A Potential Winner will be required to execute and return a Declaration of Release within two (2) days of attempted delivery, and in no case, no later than Monday, June 5th, 2023, or the Prize will be forfeited and offered to an alternate Potential Winner.
  10. Release for Promotional Purposes: Entrance into this Promotion constitutes permission for the LPC to use the Winner’s name, city and province/territory of residence and photograph, image and/or likenesses for purposes of advertising and publicity in any and all media now or hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity, without further compensation, notification, or permission, unless prohibited by law.
  11. Announcement of Winner(s): Up to eighteen (18) Entrants will become the Winner(s). The Winner(s) will be announced by the LPC through its website, liberal.ca, or social media, no later than 9:00 PM Eastern Time on Saturday, May 6th, 2023.
  12. Limitation of Liability: By entering the Promotion, the Entrants accept and agree to these Official Rules and to the decisions of the LPC, which shall be final in all matters. By entering the Promotion, you release the Promotion Organizer, and all Released Parties from any liability whatsoever, and waive any and all causes of action, related to any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Promotion or delivery, misdelivery, acceptance, possession, use of or inability to use any prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses and damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light, whether intentional or unintentional or, whether under a theory of contract, tort (including negligence), warranty or other. By accepting the Prize, the Winner(s) agree to hold the LPC, their affiliates, directors, officers, employees, parent and related companies, licensors, licensees, and assigns harmless against any and all claims and liability arising out of the acceptance, use, misuse or redemption of any prize or participation in the Promotion. The LPC is not responsible for any lost or late entries or Declaration of Releases, or for any typographical, or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the Promotion, or announcement of the prize, or for technical, hardware, or software malfunctions, computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled, or delayed electronic communications, whether caused by the sender or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Promotion, or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in this Promotion, or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of the LPC that interferes with the proper conduct of the Promotion as contemplated by these Official Rules. If, in the opinion of the LPC, there is any suspected or actual evidence of tampering with any portion of the Promotion, or if technical difficulties or any other factor including accident, printing, administrative, or any error of any kind compromises the integrity, administration, or conduct of the Promotion, the LPC reserves the right to modify, cancel, or suspend this Promotion without prior notice or obligation. Any attempt to undermine the legitimate operation of this Promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, the LPC reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.
    The LPC reserves the right to disqualify a person if he/she enters the Promotion or tries to do so by any means contrary to these rules or which would be unfair to other entrants or where Promotion entries are generated by any mechanical or automated means. Entry materials that have been tampered with, reproduced, falsified, or altered are void.
    Currency is in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stipulated. The Prize must be accepted “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied (including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose), other than any warranty offered by the manufacturer of the Prize. The Prize may not be exchanged for an amount of money, bartered, sold, raffled, substituted, or transferred, and is non-refundable. In the unlikely eventuality that the designated prize should become unavailable, the Promotion Organizer reserves the right to substitute a prize of the same approximate value.

The Potential Winners will be selected by draw by an employee of the LPC at 3:59 PM Eastern Time, Saturday, May 6th, 2023 in Ottawa, Ontario, and must correctly answer a skill-testing math question in order to be declared the Winners. This Promotion is open to all Liberal Party of Canada National Convention attendees (being held in Ottawa May 4-6th, 2023)) who are Canadian citizens and permanent residents currently living in Canada who have reached the age of majority in their province/territory. The Winners are responsible for ensuring all eligibility requirements are met. The promotion is not open to officers and employees of The Federal Liberal Agency of Canada as chief agent for the LPC, including its provincial/territorial associations and their immediate family members, nor contractors and employees of contractors servicing the LPC convention.
