Canadians Share Their Stories
June 7, 2015
I am a father of two beautiful daughters, and I have been married to the same wonderful woman for almost 21 years. Our main concern is for our children to inherit a strong and rich Canada that they too would protect for their children. This country does not belong to any generation, we are simply stewards of what other Canadians have left in our care.

I am a senior citizen supporting an out of work adult child. Her small business failed after a few years of hard work. Now she cannot find a job. I am not alone. I have friends in the same position. Adult children moving back home.

My husband and I are honoured that we can help our Son and Daughter-n-law save money by having our 2 grandsons at home before and after school and for lunch every day. Grandparents that do not have this opportunity are saddened by the high cost or lack of daycare their children bare. We need young Leaders and look forward to see you as our Prime Minister.

I am the father of a family of 3 children who are now grown up. I’m getting ready for my retirement, but I no longer recognize the Canada in which I grew up. Canadian values like social justice, respect for the environment, our role on the international stage, our justice system, and our individual liberties have been eroded by the Harper Government. This is not the Canada I dreamed of leaving to my children.

We are in our 60s. My wife is retired with only her CPP. I still work & have a decent income. How does a young family survive with all the costs in raising their family? We know what our expenses are, and cannot imagine if we were in our 30s and trying to support 3 children now. I doubt that we could do now what we did before. We are also concerned about the change to the CPP & when somebody now qualifies. We need the Liberals back to fix what Harper broke.
