Liberals nominate Richard Hébert as the new Team Trudeau candidate for Lac-Saint-Jean

Dolbeau-Mistassini, Quebec – Richard Hébert, mayor of Dolbeau-Mistassini and a leading community advocate, has been nominated as the official Team Trudeau candidate for Lac-Saint-Jean in its upcoming federal by-election, after an open vote on Thursday by local Liberals.
“It is with great pride that the Liberal Party of Canada welcomes Richard Hébert to Team Trudeau,” said Anna Gainey, President of the Liberal Party of Canada. “Richard will be a champion for middle class families and a strong voice for the people of Lac-Saint-Jean in Ottawa.”
Born and raised in Lac-Saint-Jean, Richard has deep roots in this community and his time as mayor of Dolbeau-Mistassini has shown his passion and determination to make a difference in the lives of his constituents.
Serving as mayor of Dolbeau-Mistassini since November 2013, Richard Hébert understands what it takes to create good jobs in Lac-Saint-Jean, and he’ll work closely with Justin Trudeau to grow and strengthen our middle class.
