“On Hanukkah, Jewish Canadians gather to light the menorah and celebrate with family and friends.

“During these eight days, loved ones come together to remember the powerful story of a people who persevered in the face of great oppression and adversity.

“The Festival of Lights is a story of hope and triumph, and a time to reflect on the many contributions that the Jewish community has made to enriching Canada’s culture and history.

“On behalf of the Liberal Party of Canada and our Parliamentary caucus, Sophie and I wish all those celebrating a peaceful and happy Hanukkah.
