Statement by Liberal Party of Canada Leader Justin Trudeau on Korean New Year

VANCOUVER – The Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada, Justin Trudeau, issued the following statement today on the celebration of Korean New Year:

“Today, friends and families will come together to celebrate Seollal, the Korean New Year. This year marks the Year of the Blue Horse, a figure that symbolizes optimism and devotion. These virtues inspire all Canadians as we strive to build a better and more prosperous country.

“As Korean-Canadians gather to feast, spend time with family, and celebrate their rich history, Canadians are given the opportunity to reflect on the events of the past year and look forward to new opportunities in the future.

“On behalf of the Liberal Party of Canada and our Parliamentary Caucus, I extend to all those celebrating Seollal my best wishes for health and happiness in the coming year.”
