Statement by Liberal Party of Canada Leader Justin Trudeau on the Nova Scotia Election Results

WINNIPEG— The Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada, Justin Trudeau, made the following statement today on the election of Stephen McNeil as Premier-designate of Nova Scotia:

“Today, the people of Nova Scotia voted for change and gave Stephen McNeil a strong mandate in electing him their new Premier.

I would like to extend my sincere congratulations to Stephen and the entire Liberal team on this important victory. As a dedicated and tireless leader who has spent his life in the service of his community, Nova Scotians can look to Stephen for a promising and prosperous future.

I very much look forward to working with Stephen as we seek to guarantee access to affordable, high-quality education, build a stronger, thriving middle class and increase openness and transparency for Canadians.”
