Liberal Statement on Veterans’ Week

OTTAWA– The Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada, Justin Trudeau, made the following statement today on Veterans’ Week:

“This Veterans’ Week, Canadians will take the time to reflect on the courage and sacrifice of our women and men in uniform. As we celebrate the many accomplishments of Canada’s veterans, it is important to also acknowledge their ongoing and tremendous sacrifices.

“On behalf of the Liberal Party of Canada and our Parliamentary Caucus, I would like to take this occasion to reaffirm our steadfast commitment to the health, well-being, and dignity of our veterans and their families.”

Liberal Veterans Affairs Critic, Jim Karygiannis, continued:

“Canada’s veterans have fought dutifully and courageously for their country and the preservation of peace, security, and human rights abroad. We can all take pride in their service.

“Canadians believe in supporting our veterans, and it is vital that we provide the necessary assistance to the women and men of the Canadian Forces when they return home.”
