Arnold Chan Wins the LPC Nomination for Scarborough—Agincourt

SCARBOROUGH, ON – More than 400 members of the Scarborough—Agincourt Federal Liberal Association met on May 8, 2014 to participate in an open and positive nomination race to elect the candidate who will represent the Liberal Party of Canada in the upcoming federal by-election in Scarborough—Agincourt. After an engaging race, they selected Arnold Chan.
Arnold Chan has deep roots in Scarborough—Agincourt. Mr. Chan’s career has included roles in both the public and private sectors as a lawyer, senior corporate manager, and serving as the Executive Assistant to the Premier of Ontario and Chief of Staff to the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration.
Mr. Chan has an undergraduate and a Master’s degree in Political Science, a Master’s in Urban Planning, all from the University of Toronto, and a law degree from the University of British Columbia. Mr. Chan is married and has three children.
Welcoming his nomination, Mr. Chan said, “I look forward to joining Justin Trudeau and the Liberal team, and working hard for the people of my riding. I am pleased and honoured to represent the Liberal Party of Canada in Scarborough—Agincourt.”
