Conservatives must seek community input on Mirabel airport

OTTAWA – The Liberal Party of Canada is encouraging the Minister of Transportation to fulfill her responsibilities by explaining to Quebecers, as well as to the residents of Mirabel, what she plans to do about the demolition of the Mirabel airport terminal.
“We strongly encourage local stakeholders and members of the business community to take part in discussions in order to find rapid and reasonable solutions for the area,” said Liberal Critic for Transport, Infrastructure, and Communities, David McGuinty.
“Furthermore, we urge Aéroports de Montréal (ADM) to evaluate all the options before considering the demolition of the terminal.”
