OKOTOKS, AB – Over 100 Liberals met on Sunday in Okotoks, in the riding of Macleod, to nominate Dustin Fuller as the Liberal Party of Canada’s candidate in the riding’s upcoming by-election.
Dustin grew up in Okotoks and worked at many local businesses, as well as served as a mentor and supervisor for the Okotoks Referee Association. He graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, also serving as President of the University of Lethbridge Students’ Union. There he worked to make the General Assembly more inclusive by adding a designated seat for a First Nations student, took major steps to increase student engagement in politics at all levels, and secured significant funding to increase the quality of student on-campus life by working collaboratively with senior university officials.
Welcoming his nomination, Mr. Fuller said, “I look forward to joining Justin Trudeau and the Liberal team, and working hard for the people of my riding. I am pleased and honoured to represent the Liberal Party of Canada in Macleod.”
