Emmanuel Dubourg Wins the Liberal Party of Canada Nomination for Bourassa

MONTRÉAL– More than 200 members of the Liberal Party of Canada in the riding of Bourassa met on Sunday afternoon to elect a candidate who will run for the seat in the upcoming by-election. They selected Emmanuel Dubourg.
Mr. Dubourg is a Chartered Professional Accountant, holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, and has more than 20 years experience working in the federal public service and in the private sector. From 2007 to 2013, Mr. Dubourg was the Member of the National Assembly for the provincial riding of Viau in Montréal, serving as Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Employment and Social Solidarity, and the Minister of Finance.
He taught at Montmorency College from 1987 to 1990, at the University of Quebec in Montreal from 2004 to 2007 and at the University of Quebec in Outaouais in 2006. He was appointed coordinator of government activities after the earthquake in Haiti in January 2010.
Welcoming his nomination, Mr. Dubourg stated, “I am thrilled to have been elected to represent the Liberal Party of Canada in the riding of Bourassa. I now intend to get down to work preparing for the upcoming by-election campaign. I promise to give the best of myself to all the citizens of Bourassa.”
