Liberals Wrap-Up Successful Summer Caucus Meeting in Edmonton
August 20, 2014
EDMONTON, AB – After three days of productive meetings and discussions in Alberta, Liberal MPs and candidates will continue building the plan for the months ahead in preparation for the next federal election.
“Liberal MPs and candidates have brought feedback for communities across the country to our Summer Caucus in Edmonton, and I am very pleased with the strong plan and team we are building for Canadians,” said the Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada, Justin Trudeau. “Liberals are working hard to offer Canadians a better government and not just a different one; that is why we have been here in Edmonton and will continue engaging with Canadians in every region of the country.”
Following the Summer Caucus meetings, Liberal Critics will be reaching out to Canadians in communities throughout Western Canada. The tour, which will include 164 events in 45 ridings, will give Liberal MPs the opportunity to engage with leaders and stakeholders in order to better represent the real priorities of Canadian middle class families.
“It is important to listen to Western Canadians, and we take that responsibility seriously,” said Mr. Trudeau. “I am confident that our MPs’ outreach tour throughout Western communities will ensure Canadians’ voices are heard in Ottawa.”
