Statement by Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau on Orthodox Easter

MONTRÉAL– Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau made the following statement today on Orthodox Easter:

“For Christians of the Orthodox faith, this Sunday marks the most important day of the year as Jesus Christ’s resurrection is celebrated.

Easter is often marked by festive family meals, attending church services and coming together with loved ones. This important time of year is also an occasion to be thankful for our many blessings and to think on those who are in need.

On behalf of the Liberal Party of Canada and our Parliamentary Caucus, I would like to offer my very best wishes to all Orthodox Christians for a happy Easter.”
