Liberal Party of Canada statement on the Quebec provincial election

MONTRÉAL – Liberal National Caucus Chair, Francis Scarpaleggia, issued the following statement today on the provincial election in Quebec:

“In light of the importance of today’s election in Quebec, it is incumbent on NDP leader Thomas Mulcair to confirm that all his Quebec MPs support federalist parties in this crucial election.

“I am pleased to confirm that all members of the federal Quebec Liberal Caucus unequivocally support a federalist party in this campaign.

“Mr. Mulcair and his NDP have long played dangerous political games with their position on sovereignty. Quebecers deserve to know whether members of the NDP Quebec Caucus wholeheartedly support the federalist option.”
