Sturgeon River–Parkland Liberals nominate Brian Gold as new Team Trudeau candidate

Spruce Grove, Alberta – Sturgeon River–Parkland Liberals have nominated Brian Gold, an accomplished businessman and an instructor at the University of Alberta, to serve as the official Team Trudeau candidate in the upcoming federal by-election.
“Brian has a long record of community leadership and advocacy for Alberta’s middle class families,” said Anna Gainey, President of the Liberal Party of Canada. “He will be a strong voice for Sturgeon River–Parkland in Ottawa, and we are proud to welcome him as our newest Team Trudeau candidate for this important by-election.”
Brian will work closely with Justin Trudeau to grow and strengthen Alberta’s middle class, and support every family working hard to join it. He is a longtime resident of Spruce Grove with his wife and children, has deep roots in this community, and understands what it takes to create good middle class jobs for families Sturgeon River–Parkland.
Brian earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of British Columbia and his Master of Arts from Harvard University. He recently completed his PhD in History at the University of Alberta, where he has been instructing for the past 9 years. He also teaches at the MacEwan School of Business and has decades of experience as a business strategy consultant. He is currently on the Board of Advisors for the Pearson Centre for Progressive Policy and the Edmonton Korean Canadian Association.
