Statement by Liberal Party of Canada Leader Justin Trudeau on Eid al-Adha

TORONTO– The Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada, Justin Trudeau, made the following statement today on Eid al-Adha:

“Sophie and I extend our greetings to Muslims across Canada and around the world for a happy Eid al-Adha, and congratulate all those who are performing Hajj.

Through morning prayer, the exchange of greetings and gifts with loved ones, and partaking in charitable acts, those observing Eid al-Adha reflect the values that bring all Canadians together – those of peace, altruism, family and friendship.

On behalf of the Liberal Party of Canada and our Parliamentary Caucus, my family and I wish all those observing Eid al-Adha a wonderful celebration.
