My name is Anna Gainey and it is an honour to have been elected the new President of the Liberal Party of Canada. I am so proud to be part of the leadership team tasked with preparing this great party to win the next general election — and I am excited to begin working with you!

Part of my role as president is to set priorities. I have two main ones:
— I want to empower our grassroots, particularly our volunteers, and enable them to have a stronger voice; and;
— I want to strengthen the infrastructure that supports them, both online and off.

Like you, I will work tirelessly to elect a Liberal government that stands up for minority rights, that speaks up for the middle class, and that restores Canada’s influence in the world.

This is why I am committed to Justin and to the Liberal Party.
