Can I share a story with you?
February 15, 2015
My friend was helping a new Canadian mother through a difficult birth. Despite everything, the mother was so incredibly happy: “My child will be Canadian,” she told my friend, beaming with pride.
I love this story, because it reminds me to cherish my identity as a Canadian. It reminds me how lucky we are to live in this beautiful country, and share it with such a generous and caring people.
But it also reminds me we can’t leave Canada to chance. We must work hard to make our country better. And that if we can’t be out there knocking on doors or making the phone calls, our dollars can power the hard work of those who are.
That’s why, this week, as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Canadian flag, we’re asking you to help support our national field team working hard inviting Canadians to choose a better government that shares our progressive values.
Your contribution right now will help build a winning election campaign.

We’re going to need as many Canadians as possible to give as early as possible this year — including you.
February 15 marks the 50th anniversary of the Canadian flag. To show our pride, we’ll be celebrating with hundreds of Canadians at a major Flag Day rally in Mississauga, Ontario.
As a thank you, and to mark the occasion, everyone who donates to this fundraising drive will receive a signed digital photo from the rally celebrating this historic anniversary.
Thank you.
