ST. CATHARINES, ON – NDP candidate for St. Catharines, Susan Erskine-Fournier, is speaking out against Thomas Mulcair’s decision to adopt Stephen Harper’s budget and eliminate the deficit in just six months.
Asked at a local debate on Tuesday what part of her party’s platform she dislikes the most, Ms. Erskine-Fournier explained that, “it is very risky to be able to convince people that we are going to pull this budget off without going into a deficit. I don’t like it, I’m not sure how we are going to do it.”

Thomas Mulcair will have to break his spending promises and make cuts in order to eliminate Stephen Harper’s deficit in just six months.
It means the NDP cannot make the investments our economy and our middle class need.
Even NDP candidates don’t believe Mulcair’s empty promises.
