Statement by Liberal Party of Canada Leader Justin Trudeau on the death of a Canadian soldier in Iraq

OTTAWA – The Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada, Justin Trudeau, today issued the following statement on the death of a Canadian Armed Forces member and the injury of three others in Iraq:‎

“Sophie and I join with all Canadians in mourning the tragic loss of Sergeant Andrew Doiron, from the Special Operations Forces, who was killed yesterday in Iraq.

“Our thoughts and sympathies go out to his loved ones, as well as to the three other Canadian Armed Forces members who were injured. We thank these brave Canadians for their service to our country.

“On behalf of the Liberal Party of Canada, I offer my sincere condolences to the entire Canadian Armed Forces family at this very sad time.”
