Statement by Liberal Party of Canada Leader Justin Trudeau on Vietnamese New Year

TORONTO – The Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada, Justin Trudeau, today issued the following statement on the occasion of Têt, the Vietnamese New Year:
“Today, Vietnamese communities in Canada and around the world will gather to mark the arrival of the Year of the Goat, a symbol of harmony and justice.
“Surrounded by family and friends, those commemorating Têt will celebrate the successes and gifts of the past year, and look forward with hope to the promise that the coming year presents. On this day, we are all reminded of the significant contribution made by Vietnamese-Canadians to our nation.
“On behalf of the Liberal Party of Canada and our Parliamentary Caucus, Sophie and I extend our best wishes for peace, prosperity, and good health to all those celebrating Têt.
“Chuc Mung Nam Moi!”
