Statement by Liberal Party of Canada Leader Justin Trudeau on Chinese New Year

VANCOUVER – The Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada, Justin Trudeau, issued the following statement today on the celebration of Chinese New Year:

“Today, friends and family will gather to celebrate the Chinese New Year. This New Year ushers in the Year of the Horse, an energetic, warm-hearted, and intelligent figure. We can all find inspiration in those virtues as we continue building a strong, prosperous Canada.

“As we mark this day with festivities across the country, and gather together with our families, let us take this moment to reflect on the events of the past year and look forward to new opportunities in the future.

“I very much look forward to joining the Chinese-Canadian community in Vancouver to participate in this year’s celebrations. On behalf of the Liberal Party of Canada, our Parliamentary Caucus, I wish you and your loved ones happiness and prosperity in the New Year.
