Trudeau ready to bring better government to Ottawa

OTTAWA – Today, the Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada, Justin Trudeau, is in the nation’s capital meeting with Canadians and sharing his plan to grow the economy, strengthen the middle class, and bring better government to Ottawa.

“Canadians are tired of Harper’s cynical, out-of-touch government that spends all of its time thinking about itself, silencing its critics, and clamping down on the public service,” said Mr. Trudeau. “Canadians deserve more than a government that never misses an opportunity to pick a fight, but avoids every chance to solve a problem. They deserve a government that will make a real difference in their lives.”

After ten years under Harper, Ottawa is broken. Liberals proudly stand for a strong, united Canada, and we will bring our country together. Only Justin Trudeau has a new plan to restore openness and transparency by modernizing the way government works. Our plan will deliver fairness and economic growth that works for everyone, by cutting taxes for middle class Canadians and helping families with the high cost of raising their kids.

“A few nights ago, Stephen Harper looked into your living room and told you to ‘stay the course: my plan is working. Change is too risky,’” said Mr. Trudeau. “Harper’s plan is not working for the Canadians I have met over the past years. Canadians know that better is always possible, and only Liberals have the team and the plan for real change.”
