January 22, 2016
As the MP for Mission–Matsqui–Fraser Canyon and in my career in business and as an active member of the Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce, I’ve seen the difference that open dialogue can make in achieving real change in a community.
That is why when we table our first budget, we want it to be built together with the input of Canadians from all across the country.
Our government knows that Canadians like you are on the front lines of our economy, every single day. And doing politics differently means listening to your concerns and your ideas.
On October 19, Canadians voted for a government that will deliver real change. That starts by making the right investments in our country. And for the first budget, we want to ensure you have a voice and can provide your input so we can make the right kind of investments for all Canadians.
While Finance Minister Bill Morneau is travelling the country to meet with Canadians, the Liberal Party of Canada is holding its own distinct consultation, and I want you to be a part of it.
We’re asking you to take 5 minutes and complete our online Your Say: Budget 2016 consultation survey. In doing so, you’ll make sure that your voice is heard when the government goes to draft the budget.
But you don’t have much time to act. Next week we will be tallying up all the responses to share with you, then sending them directly to the Department of Finance in Ottawa.
Have your say now
With your help — and that of thousands of other Canadians — we can deliver on an ambitious economic agenda that will create jobs, grow the economy, and ensure a thriving middle class after ten years of weak growth.
And above all, deliver the real change that you voted for.
Thank you,
Jati Sidhu, MP
Mission–Matsqui–Fraser Canyon
