Free Menstrual Products One in 3 Canadians who need pads, tampons, or other menstrual products struggle to afford them. Menstrual products are a basic need and are essential to uphold Canadians’ sexual and reproductive health and rights, as well as to ensure women’s participation in school, work, and society. A re-elected Liberal government will: Provide free tampons and pads in federally regulated workplaces. Create a $25 million Menstrual Equity Fund for women’s shelters, not-for-profits, charities, community-based organizations, and youth-led organizations to make menstrual products available to vulnerable people.
